The EXEC interface allows EXEC2 or REXX programs to define and display full screens in any format.
Stems may be displayed with one command.

Two modes of operation are provided for functions - INTERACTIVE and EXEC.
In INTERACTIVE mode the user views a full screen display and enters commands to alter that display.
In EXEC mode commands are provided by the exec program, no display occurs between commands, data may be extracted from the function to change the sequence of commands to be executed.

In addition a PASSTHRU function provides access directly from any CMS machine to multiple logical terminal connections. No manager Virtual Machine is required. Screen images can be captured or printed. Data may be entered into or extracted from the logical screen session by an EXEC.

The Z Series of EXECs is a collection of EXECs utilizing z/FM to display the status of the VM and CMS environment. Download a PDF containing sample screens.
z/FM executes as a standard CMS module, a VM shared segment (DCSS), an MVS load module (can be in LPA), or a stand alone (IPLable) program in 370, 390, ESA or ESAME mode
z/FM Uses standard IBM interfaces.
